In the first month of summer, 5,600 new passenger cars were registered in Ukraine – almost double last year.
As reported by Ukrinform, the Association of Automobile Manufacturers of Ukraine (Ukravtoprom) reported this on Telegram.
“In the first month of summer, 5,600 new passenger cars were registered in Ukraine, almost double that of last year. At the same time, solvent demand for new cars is 36% behind the pre-war June 2021 figure.”
According to Ukravtoprom, compared to May, consumer activity in the automobile market increased by 9%.
Toyota (1,076 units), Renault (682), Volkswagen (470), Skoda (401) and BMW (319) were among the top five in terms of the number of vehicles registered in June.
It has been announced that the best-selling product of the month in the Ukrainian new car market remains the Renault Duster, the compact crossover chosen by 656 buyers.
In total, more than 27,000 new passenger cars have been registered in Ukraine since the beginning of the year, which is 1.5 times more than for the same period in 2022.
As reported, slightly more than 5,100 new passenger cars were registered in Ukraine in May, which is twice as much as in the previous year.
