Asus has officially unveiled its latest flagship, the Zenfone 10. What immediately strikes you about the smartphone is its compact size. The smartphone measures just 5.9 inches from head to toe. This makes the Zenfone 10 even smaller than the compact Samsung Galaxy S23 and the smallest device from the Android flagship segment. Only Apple has a smaller device with the iPhone 13 Mini.
Despite its small size, the Zenfone 10 can definitely keep up with the big ones. The compact body houses a 2400 × 1080 OLED display with an adaptive refresh rate of up to 144 Hz. The presence of a 3.5 mm audio jack on the top is also noticeable, as it is hard to find in the price segment of the Zenfone 10.
On board the device is a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, Qualcomm’s latest high-end processor that we’ll find in all top-of-the-line devices from 2023 onwards. RAM is 8GB or 16GB, storage ranges from 128GB to 512GB.
Small concessions
When it comes to the battery, you have to make compromises due to the small size: The capacity is only 4300 mAh, so you have to use the device sparingly until the end of the day. Although Asus itself claims that the battery life has increased by thirteen percent compared to the previous generation. With a charging capacity of 30 W, the Zenfone 10 cannot necessarily be called a fast charger. Wireless charging is supported up to 15W.
Asus talks about a major camera upgrade in the announcement, although that’s not too bad on paper. The main camera has 50 megapixels and a 1/1.56 inch Sony IMX766 image sensor. We have found the sensor in the flagships from Samsung and OnePlus for several years. The main camera is complemented by a 13 MP wide-angle lens and a 32 MP front lens. Asus wants to focus primarily on videography with this device and the camera has improved image stabilization capabilities.

The Asus Zenfone 10 is now available in five color options in the Benelux: green, red, white, blue and black. The available configurations and suggested retail prices are as follows:
- 8GB / 128GB: 799 euros
- 8GB / 256GB: 849 euros
- 16GB / 512GB: 929 euros
