And while it is true that the development of this market has not been as striking as some predictions a year or two ago, we have been able to see growth and, more interestingly, a growing trust in it from other manufacturers who have been encouraged to enrich the ecosystem.

Although we are still waiting for an official confirmation of the date of its celebration, everything indicates that Samsung Galaxy Unpacked will take place this summer on July 26 or 27, and according to my it is more likely that the final day of the two is Wednesday the 26th, as the Korean tech company has previously shown a preference for that day of the week. Be that as it may, it won’t take us too long to find out as the announcement of the deadline is approaching.

We know that the main stars of the event will be the aforementioned Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5, about which we have been receiving interesting leaks for some time, as well as the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6, the new iteration of the company’s smartwatch.. In terms of approach and products, nothing extra surprising, but even so, it will mean a very interesting development with regard to these generational changes.

The hinge is a key element in the design of foldable smartphones, so it’s probably the element on which manufacturers apply the most in-house research and development for their devices. So when the signs started pointing in the direction that a big change was coming in this new generation, the interest it generated was wide. And now, through some images we found on Android Police, we’re verifying that the hinge of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 will be a big change compared to the current model.

Until now, even though the distance was minimal, Samsung’s foldable devices didn’t close 100%, meaning there was minimal space between certain points on both screens. However, as you can see in the images, they are now fully supported on top of each other, which translates into a higher level of protection when the device is folded. The images are from the Galaxy Z Fold 5, but there have been rumors that the Flip 5 could also use this new design curtain.
