Twitter tweet deck broken

Twitter introduces a new version of Tweetdeck. Users can try it for free for 30 days before it becomes an exclusive feature for paying users.

Tweetdeck functionality was unavailable for a few days. An adjustment introduced by Elon Musk to the number of tweets users can see per day didn’t quite go as planned. Twitter announces via tweet (obviously) that a new version of Tweetdeck is available.

Although the new version still officially bears the name “Preview”, it is actually the only high-performance version. From the original version, users can subscribe to the new version. An employee of the company replies in the comments to the post that at some point all users will be switched to the new version.

Tweetdeck is a tool that allows you to manage multiple accounts, schedule tweets, and create “tweet collections”. Most features have been restored in the preview version.

Exclusive to Blue

There is one thing though. Twitter has announced that Tweetdeck will eventually become a feature exclusive to paying Blue subscribers. These changes could go into effect as early as August. All users will now have access to the Tweetdeck preview for thirty days, but may be required to show the coveted blue tick to continue using the tool.

A change that may not be well received by the Twitter user base. Elon Musk bought Twitter with the aim of making the platform more profitable and does not shy away from brutal means. Previously, he took the unpopular step of charging for Twitter APIs, at a steep price of $5,000 per month. For that amount, developers get access to rickety APIs.
