The arrival of Threads, the rival of Twitter, created by the Instagram team, has now become official. As announced by Meta, the new app is available in over 100 countries. But, Its official arrival in Europe has not yet been announced..

This may be due to a data protection issue, which will delay its arrival in European Union countries, including Spain. This question was asked by Xataka, they have not yet provided an answer from Meta explaining why. However, they have updated their terms of use, implying that they are working to make Threads official landing in Europe.

Everyone should try Threads

Yet the truth is Threads already work perfectly in Spain. To be able to test the new social network, we will need an Android mobile phone and download the APK setup file. After installing the app manually, all partitions seem to work fine.

Topics APK file can be downloaded from here. We recommend that you familiarize yourself with the process. It’s pretty simple, but we leave you with the tutorial from our Xataka Android colleagues.

The app is really simple to use and has already been translated into Spanish. No need for invitations or waiting list. It actually works really fast and the first thing the app will make our job easier is to follow all our Instagram contacts.

What is still not working is the website. We’ll wait for Meta to confirm Threads’ official arrival in Europe. Maybe then is when we can try the new service in its entirety.

The app is available on both the iOS app store and Google Play for Android but it doesn’t allow us to download it as the European landing has not been activated yet. Fortunately for those who are interested, it can already be simply tested.
