Sony announced this Thursday (07) a new portable sound box for sound reproduction. ABOUT The HT-AX7 is classified as a portable home theater system. and it can be thought of as a gadget that sits between a soundbar and a bluetooth speaker. The modular device can be divided into three parts, giving it a unique and differentiated configuration.
Sony’s new electronics is a portable speaker that aims to be a heavy soundbar. HT-AX7 promises Spatial sound and high quality sound to fill any room in the house. The modular setup can be positioned around the user to provide an immersive sound experience. The Sony Spatial Audio System detects the position of the modules and automatically creates sound. Below you can see a promotional video for the device.
The device aims to offer sonic capabilities like a portable home theater that fits in your backpack. However The device’s Bluetooth technology only supports two channels of audio, not supporting 5.1 channel audio.. The HT-AX7 offers up to 30 hours of battery life and content is streamed via Bluetooth.
According to the company, the purpose of the laptop is to offer the user an “audio movie” to play any sound, even a movie on a tablet or mobile phone. Simply detach the HT-AX7 modules and place them around you to create immersive surround sound. Because it is a portable device, the user can have their own “soundbar” and take it with them wherever they go.
The idea is interesting and, one might say, unique, but limiting the Bluetooth connection will certainly not provide the same sound quality as the weighty soundbar on the market. In addition, the price of the device is quite salty considering what it offers. According to the manufacturer, The HT-AX7’s MSRP is $499. (about BRL 2450 in direct conversion). In any case, it will be difficult to find it on the territory of the country, since the speaker / soundbar is currently only available in Japan.
