Google has started testing a new paid feature for YouTube video service users. YouTube Premium subscribers have an experimental option called Lock Screen.
The functionality is described by the developers as follows:
Playback can be enabled to pause the screen lock or prevent accidental tapping.
Users can test the Lock Screen, testing will run until July 30. The innovation is supported on Android and iOS devices. YouTube Premium subscribers should see an invitation labeled “Try new features” at the top of the app’s homepage.
To unlock, just click on the settings icon in the upper left corner while watching the video in full screen mode and select the appropriate item.
