Apple has released an update to its music search service Shazam that can recognize songs on TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram.
As reported by Ukrinform, this was reported by the 9TO5Mac portal.
Shazam can now identify music played in other apps, including TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram.
“Just open Shazam, tap the blue button, and go back to the app you were using,” the app update’s release notes read.
The new feature should come in handy for more than just determining what song is playing in another app. Tagging a song can automatically add it to a playlist in the Shazam app, and the app keeps a history of previous tags.
Since acquiring Shazam, Apple has integrated music recognition directly into the Control Center on iOS for super-fast access to song tags.
The standalone Shazam app can be used to view your tag history, manage your Shazam playlist, and now tag songs from other apps.
The Shazam app is available for free on the App Store.
As Ukrinform reports, in June, the American company Apple introduced several new devices and software updates.
