Customers wishing to purchase Apple’s Vision Pro AR headset must first make an appointment.
According to Bloomberg correspondent Mark GurmaApple will encourage interested potential buyers of its Vision Pro to make an appointment. For example, you can first try on and try out the $3,500 AR headset extensively.
Only with reservation
Interested parties should first make a physical appointment at one of the stores where the Vision Pro is available. This initially applies to companies in large cities such as New York or Los Angeles.
This allows potential buyers to actually try the headset on to see if it feels comfortable. In addition, Apple can accommodate any customized lenses when implementing them in the Vision Pro. Of course, it would be a shame to spend that money and not get the full experience because you’re “not adapted to myopia.”
Another reason for such an appointment would be a real scan of your head. For example, Apple can customize the headset even further to prevent unwanted light when worn.
In the web shop
Online shoppers with low vision should upload the prescription for their lenses. Apple is also working on an iPhone app for such a head scan, so that this data can also be provided when an order is placed.
countdown
The Apple Vision Pro will launch in the US early next year. The rest of the world, especially Canada and Great Britain, would have to wait until the end of 2024. The question is how many copies are left, because Apple has already significantly reduced the production of the headset in advance. In any case, the first impressions were positive when the Vision Pro was presented at the last Worldwide Developers Conference.
