The Falcon 9 rocket was launched from the Space Force station at Cape Canaveral, Florida, on Monday, July 10, at 06:58 Kiev time, with a series of V2 mini-satellites. 22 Starlink satellites were sent into Earth orbit.
Musk’s company said this is the 16th unprecedented launch of a Falcon 9 first-stage launch vehicle.
The first stage of the rocket returned to Earth 8.5 minutes after launch and landed on the deck of the Just Read the Instructions drone in the Atlantic Ocean.
A new batch of satellites was deployed into Earth orbit 62 minutes after their launch.
“V2 mini” is a newer and more powerful version of SpaceX satellites. They’re smaller than the full-size version, but larger and more powerful than other Starlink vehicles the company has launched into space today.
As Ukrinform reports, SpaceX has launched a new batch of 48 Starlink internet satellites into orbit.
