The new BMW CE 02 is neither an electric scooter nor an electric motorcycle: the perfect “eParKourer” for cities and urban areas.

With the new BMW CE 02, BMW Motorrad is presenting another electric vehicle for urban areas, approximately two years after the BMW CE 04, and is thus consistently implementing its electric mobility strategy. With its electric drive, innovative design and innovative solutions, the eParkourer is a dynamic partner for a new type of mobility and driving pleasure in urban environments.

Progressive design with new proportions and plenty of room for customization

The new BMW CE 02 represents a new step into the world of BMW Motorrad. It is electric, it is especially liked by young people, and it is not an electric motorcycle or an electric scooter. It is an “eParkourer” built for the city and the urban environment. Flexible, practical, reliable and kept to a minimum in terms of design. Large wheels meet the requirements of strength and at the same time provide driving pleasure on many terrains. Black as the base color for the frame, wheels, front fender and triple clip top fairing and matt granite gray metallic for the engine cover create a contrast as exciting as the play of matt surfaces and glossy sheen. In the HIGHLINE special edition, the new BMW CE 02 looks bright and vibrant. Gold anodized forks and a striped design, combined with a contrasting Petrol finish, make the BMW CE 02 dynamic and future-oriented, even when standing still.

Powerful drive, light weight and practical range. Two versions

Drivers aged 16 and over can drive the new BMW CE 02 with a maximum power output of 11 kW (15 hp). In the 4 kW (5 hp) version (rated power 3.2 kW (4 hp)) with a speed limit of 45 km/h, the new BMW CE 02 also meets the requirements of the European driving license class AM and can be installed in Germany, for example, from 15 years old and drivers with a car license. In addition to complying with specific regulations for each country. The powerful drive allows the new BMW CE 02 in the 11 kW version to accelerate quickly at traffic lights and ensures dynamic driving. A top speed of 95 km/h makes it fast on motorways, while a range of more than 90 km (11 kW version according to WMTC) allows for long urban adventures.

With a low weight of just 132 kg (11 kW version) or 119 kg (4 kW version) and a low seat height of just 750 mm, the new BMW CE 02 also impresses with playful driving characteristics.

Two driving modes “Flow” and “Surf” as standard and “Flash” as optional equipment and Original BMW Motorrad accessories.

The new BMW CE 02 comes standard with Flow and Surf driving modes. Flow driving mode offers optimal settings for navigating in city traffic, while Surf driving mode provides dynamic driving outside of noisy city traffic. The Flash driving mode is also available as a sporty and dynamic addition as part of the HIGHLINE accessories and as an Original BMW Motorrad accessory.

External charger as standard and quick charger as an option and as an Original BMW Motorrad accessory.

The standard equipment of the new BMW CE 02 includes an external charger with a charging power of 0.9 kW, which allows you to quickly and conveniently carry out charging processes from standard household sockets. It’s even faster thanks to the 1.5 kW fast charger, which is available as a HIGHLINE accessory and as an Original BMW Motorrad accessory (only for the 11 kW version).

Chassis with dual-contour tubular frame, telescopic fork, single-sided swingarm and cast alloy wheels.

The chassis of the new BMW CE 02 is based on a torsionally rigid tubular steel dual-contour frame. There are hydraulically damped telescopic forks at the front, and a single-sided swingarm and straight-swing shock at the rear. Wide tires are mounted on cast alloy wheels with a disc design, and disc brakes provide safe braking front and rear. BMW Motorrad ABS appears at the front.

TFT screen, USB-C charging port and connectivity solutions

On the instrument cluster, an easy-to-read TFT display informs the driver about driving speed, battery charge status and more. The USB-C charging socket also allows you to charge your smartphone. When using the BMW Motorrad Connected app, the smartphone shows the expected end of charging thanks to a Bluetooth connection, just like in the BMW CE 04. In the HIGHLINE variant, the “Stand” mode allows the BMW Motorrad app on the smartphone (which is held in a special holder) to be safely controlled as an additional display using steering wheel keyboards. It is also possible to record your trips using the app. With BMW Motorrad Connected Services (also included in the HIGHLINE package), the charging status and other information about the CE 02 can be viewed at any time from anywhere via the app.
