Social network Instagram plans to transfer its branded content tools to the new Threads social network.
This was reported by Reuters, Ukrinform reports.
“Such tools will help marketers engage with influencers within paid partnerships when ads are not available on the social media platform,” the publication said.
“The company will only consider monetizing Threads when there is a clear path to one billion users,” said Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg.
Instagram provides text-based social networking access to the photo-sharing platform’s more than 2 billion user base by allowing users to transfer their accounts, credentials, and followers to Threads.
Many companies have already started creating Topic accounts to post content organically even though there is no advertising on the platform.
However, the publication noted that the lack of hashtags and keyword search features in Topics could limit the platform’s appeal to advertisers.
As Ukrinform reports, on July 6, Meta launched the Threads text service, which is expected to rival Twitter.
