10 days before the end of July, Samsung started to distribute this month’s security patches to the appropriate devices. As always, the latest Galaxy S23 flagships were among the first to receive the update in the US last week. The company has now begun expanding the availability of the July 2023 security update to other regions, starting with Europe. It provides a number of security measures and bug fixes on the Galaxy S23 series.

Galaxy S23 phones get security patch with new update

The software update is said to be available on the old continent with the version number S91xBXXS3AWF7. The security patch is 429.68 MB in size and apparently fixes more than 90 vulnerabilities found in the previous version. It should reach other regions in the coming days.

The update doesn’t seem to bring any major features or improvements. Since last month this should come as no surprise, Samsung has released a “super” camera update for the S23 series that addresses night mode and autofocus, among other issues.

Samsung Galaxy S23 users in Europe should receive an OTA update notification. If not, they can go to Settings and Software Update and click Download and Install to install the update on their phone.

The Korean company may also allow S23 users to test the new One UI 6 interface based on Android 14 very soon. Reports indicate that the software’s beta will launch in less than a month, possibly before the Unpacked event scheduled for July 26.
