And finally, as usually happens in most cases, some rumors pointed in the right direction, while others turned out to be wrong, and therefore, whenever we repeat this type of information, we especially remember to take them into account. with due reservations pending presentation of official confirmation.

Nic Phone (2): technical specifications

Chances are you were surprised when I mentioned the high range, and that’s normal, because the Nothing Phone (1) was clearly aimed at the midrange. However, when checking the specifications of this phone Nothing (2), you have already verified that we are with an evolution with which the manufacturer aims higher, with the obvious intention of being seen as another high-end option. Something that is of course also reflected in its price, which, without being as high as some rumors suggested, represents a significant jump compared to the previous generation.

Now let’s go back to the screen to see that we are facing a generous 6.7-inch OLED panel with FullHD+ resolution (2,300 x 1,080 in 21:9 wide-angle aspect ratio), with a density of 394 dots per inch. It has a variable refresh rate, capable of scaling up to 120 Hz, supports HDR10+ and is capable of reaching a maximum brightness of 1,600 nits. Use Gorilla Glass Victus for your protection. And to complete what is called resistance, we are talking about a device with IP54 protection against dust and liquids.

Already inside, we find another great sign that the Nothing Phone (2) points to a high range, and that’s it it is powered by Snapdragon Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, a revision of Qualcomm’s top of the range in its previous generation. In other words, we are not facing the most innovative SoC for this market segment, but the one that has been its main protagonist during the second half of last year and the beginning of 2023. In comparison, the Nothing Phone (1) has a Snapdragon 778G+, which is a chip aimed at the middle, mid-high range that was introduced in October 2021. For this SoC we find configurations with 8 and 12 gigabytes of RAM and 128, 256 and 512 gigabytes of storage.

Nothing neglected the connectivity of the Nothing Phone (2). Starting with the wireless plane we find 5G, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3, along with WiFi Direct, NFC and compatibility with major global location networks. In terms of connectors, the list is very short as it only has a USB-C port for data transfer, headphone connection and charging. The battery is charging 4700 milliamps and that it can provide 22 and a half hours of autonomy and can be fully charged in 55 minutes, according to the manufacturer. supports Fast charging 45 watts and 15-watt wireless charging plus five-watt reverse charging.
