The Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine presented the “Action” application as a candidate for recognition as one of the official applications of the European Digital Wallet.
As reported by Ukrinform, the press service reported this Ministry of Numbers.
“The team of the Ministry of Digitization introduced the Diya application at the founding meeting of the international digital identification consortium POTENTIAL, held in Paris. The application was presented as a candidate for recognition as one of the official applications of the European digital wallet.”
At the meeting, especially our European colleagues were shown how to create and use a qualified electronic signature in Diya, how to open bank accounts through the application and how to use digital documents.
During the reports and presentations, it was noted that the forum participants repeatedly noted Ukraine as a state that, despite the hardships of the war, has made significant progress in digitalization on the way to the EU. Ukraine received a special award from the French Minister of Digital Technologies, Jean-Noel Barro.
As reported, the POTENTIAL (PilOTs for European Digital Identity Wallet) consortium unites 19 European countries and aims to improve citizens’ access to reliable and secure electronic identification and service tools. The consortium is working on the development of a European digital wallet. It is a mobile product that people can easily use and share for various types of services both at home and abroad by storing their identity information (eID) electronically.
