According to xAI co-founder Greg Young, the startup will explore the artificial intelligence aspect.
It was noted that members of the xAI team have graduated from DeepMind, OpenAI, Google Research, Microsoft Research, Twitter and Tesla companies, as well as Musk. They have worked on projects such as DeepMind’s AlphaCode and OpenAI’s GPT-3.5 and GPT-4 chatbots.
Musk seems to be positioning xAI as a competitor to OpenAI, Google and Anthropic behind leading chatbots like ChatGPT, Bard and Claude.
Musk founded xAI in the state of Nevada (USA) in March.
As reported by Ukrinform, media company Thomson Reuters will acquire Casetext, a legal startup with an assistant based on artificial intelligence (AI), for $650 million.
