The company teamed up with 3D printing specialist Materialise to develop the product.by printing six pieces that were later welded together.

The new THOK project is considered a milestone in the industry. The world’s first fully 3D printed e-bike. THOK used selective laser melting (SLM) technology to fabricate the e-MTB frame from aluminum alloy, allowing it to quickly iterate and simulate the weight of the final carbon fiber model.

The new model, which will be THOK’s first lightweight e-MTB, will feature a Bosch Performance Line SX engine and 400Wh, 545Wh and 725Wh modular batteries with an optional 250Wh range extender. THOK is currently testing integrated and semi-integrated versions of the electric bike, as well as various combinations of components.
