South Korean company LG Electronics presented the world’s first wireless OLED TV (organic light-emitting diode) Signature M.
As reported by Ukrinform, Yonhap reported it.
The first country to start sales will be South Korea.
It is said that the 246 cm OLED TV will be sold with the Zero Connect Box transmitter, which sends video and audio signals to the screen over the wireless network with up to 4K resolution and 120 Hz screen refresh rate.
This transmitter looks like a cube-shaped box. It can be placed up to 10 meters away and continues to transmit data smoothly.
The company said it has developed an algorithm that helps minimize errors or malfunctions in the transmission of signals and determines the optimal path for their transmission.
LG added that the development of the Signature M was made possible by the company’s OLED technologies and the know-how it has acquired over the past decade.
This is the fifth LG Signature OLED since it first appeared in 2016. In 2020, Signature OLED R was launched as the world’s first bendable TV.
As reported by Ukrinform, South Korea’s Data Protection Service has fined phone operator LG Uplus Corp. for 6.8 billion won (US$5.27 million) in a lawsuit involving the leaking of users’ personal data.
