Xuxa’s 60-year career will be represented by 60 NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens), digital assets that allow the collection of moments and highlights from the host’s trajectory, reviving fans’ affective memory. The distribution of collectible stickers starts this Friday (14).
This project marks the artist’s debut on Internet 3.0, exploring the blockchain universe and its many opportunities for media companies to exploit. Eliseu Barreira Jr., Head of Digital Product Portfolio and Paid Channels at Globo, expressed his hope for innovation and learning in this new context. Looking at the vast collection and breadth of items that mark Xuxa’s path, he said, they noticed a wide range of opportunities to serve the host’s fans.
Xuxa was also excited about this new way of connecting with people. According to her, this is a completely new way to stay close to the fans. Xuxaverso brings unpublished figures such as the spaceship and the famous mouth that are part of the host’s world.
How it will work
The NFT collection will include six different models, each featuring 10 digital illustrations depicting remarkable moments in the baby queen’s career, from looks to programming to international success.
In addition, Xuxaverso will receive an exclusive digital environment where collectors can collect all of their digital stickers into an album specially created for the promotion. This experience will allow fans to explore and interact with elements of the Xuxa universe.
A total of 60 NFTs will be distributed across three rarity categories: Gold, Platinum, and Diamond. The most valuable digital stickers are classified as diamonds and provide a unique face-to-face experience with Xuxa, including the opportunity to take a photo with the presenter.
Thiago Lessa, Head of Attraction and Engagement Marketing, notes that the project aims to rescue the emotional memory of the 1980s and 1990s by providing the experience of collecting digital stickers in a modern and digital way. The idea is to bring back the nostalgia for sticker albums and other collectibles by adapting them to the current context.
It is worth noting that this is not the first time Globoplay has invested in interactive projects. Todas as Flores, for example, offered virtual perfume NFTs linked to exclusive scenes from the second part of the soap opera.
Eliseu emphasizes that from the very beginning of the project, Xuxa’s priority has always been to do something that would bring joy to the fans. With this in mind, they have developed a project that offers a wide range of collectibles in addition to a unique face-to-face Xuxa experience that goes beyond NFT.
This first batch of NFTs will offer a free NFT to Globoplay subscribers. The remaining stickers from the first batch will be available from the official Xuxaverso store from July 20th. More installments will be made available every 15 days, offering fans the chance to add to their digital collections and get even closer to Xuxa.
