The latest Samsung 8K Neo QLED premium TV has been launched in South Korea. The 98-inch Samsung 8K Neo QLED TV comes with 120W speakers and costs KRW 49.9 million ($39,000). The TV offers many exciting features and went on sale on July 13. The TV has an extremely slim design with metal frames and a TV back.
The Samsung 8K Neo QLED TV has model number QNC990 and joins Samsung’s other premium offerings with the 98-inch QLED and Neo QLED 4K models. As the name suggests, the QNC990 model has 8K resolution and a Mini LED panel. Some of the supported display modes are HDR10, HDR10+, HDR10+ Adaptive, HDR10+ Gaming and HLG. It also offers hundreds of local dimming zones to ensure maximum brightness. The 98-inch Samsung 8K Neo QLED TV has a 144Hz variable refresh rate and supports AMD Freesync Premium Pro.
The QNC990’s viewing experience is further enhanced with an anti-glare coating that significantly reduces glare and reflections from light sources. The TV has been tested by Pantone for optimum and accurate color reproduction. The color reproduction of the Samsung 8K Neo QLED TV can be further improved by calibrating it with the SmartThings smartphone app.
The Samsung 8K Neo QLED TV is equipped with a 6.4.4 channel speaker system with 120W output power. The TV is also compatible with Dolby Atmos Wireless, Q-Symphony 3.0, Object Tracking Sound, Active Voice Amplifier and Adaptive Sound+. The TV uses the Neo Quantum Processor 8K chip and runs on Tizen 7.0 operating system.
Many functions can be accessed from the TV. You can use many apps to stream audio and video on your TV along with other features like Samsung TV Plus, Samsung Health, Game Bar 3.0 and more.
You can connect to the TV in several ways. These include HDMI, USB, optical output port and RF port. The TV also supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2. Speakers are located on the back and sides of the TV. The TV is compatible with Philips Hue smart lighting and has One Connect Box for easy setup. There is currently no information on the global availability and price of the new 98-inch Samsung 8K Neo QLED TV.
