Japan’s Ministry of Education has asked universities and technical colleges across the country to develop their own rules or guidelines for the use of productive artificial intelligence (AI).

As reported by Ukrinform, this was reported by NHK.

The move follows the ministry’s internal recommendations for productive AI use for primary and secondary schools amid the rapid adoption of these technologies.

In its call to educational institutions, the ministry said that it would be better for each university to decide for itself how to use artificial intelligence-based technologies in the courses and programs they offer, and change the guidelines for such systems.

As reported by Ukrinform, Japan’s Ministry of Education has developed tentative recommendations for limited use of productive artificial intelligence (AI) such as ChatGPT in the country’s schools from next academic year.
