French President, Emmanuel Macronreceived by the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, on the national holiday of France on July 14th. France sees India as a strategic ally in the Indo-Pacific region, vital to addressing the global challenges of the 21st century.

During Military parade on the Champs Elysees, India participates in a tribute to the brave Indian soldiers who fought in the First World War. India, as the world’s fifth economic power and the most populous country, stands out for its young and growing demographics.

Both leaders hold bilateral meetings to strengthen cooperation in the political, economic and environmental fields. Modi’s visit is especially relevant as India will chair the G20 (G20 is an international forum consisting of 19 countries and the European Union. Its purpose is to promote global economic cooperation.

The leaders of these countries meet annually to discuss issues such as economic stability, trade and climate change. The G20 represents 80% of the world’s GDP and two-thirds of the world’s population). Next year, strengthening its key role in the search for stability and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific region.

This meeting highlights the strategic importance of the Franco-Indian alliance on the world stage and marks a milestone in bilateral relations. Cooperation between France and India promises to influence the international arena and together solve the problems of the 21st century.
