We look forward to Xiaomi finally introducing us to the long-awaited Xiaomi 12 Ultra, the flagship of 2022 this year. There have been a lot of rumors about this terminal for the last few months, from the possible collaboration with Leica to the inclusion of the future Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+. but there still seems to be something to discover.

And we were able to know this thanks to Xiaomiui, where they were able to access the famous Mi Code by discovering two new features that have a lot to do with the photographic results this device can deliver. : a new custom processor along with a new ToF sensor.

The new Surge C2 will be the brains dedicated to the photography of the Xiaomi 12 Ultra

As you may recall, a little over a year ago, Xiaomi launched the Xiaomi Mix Fold, a device that includes among its innovations the Surge C1 processor, a chip dedicated to photo processing. It will be developed with the second generation, which we will see for the first time in the new Xiaomi 12 Ultra.

And that’s from where it’s confirmed, as clearly indicated by MIUI’s internal code. this new Surge C2 will be a chip that will only be included for the 12 Ultra. Despite all the rumors stating that we will also see it in the Xiaomi Mix 5 and Xiaomi Mix Fold 2.

But the findings don’t end there, as we’ve also learned that this team will be installing a new custom ToF sensor. focusing speed greatly improves depth level photography results Who knows, we could even function as a new blur, as we saw in the well-known “cinema mode” of the iPhone 13.

Therefore, it seems Xiaomi is grilling all the meat with the photography of this Ultra model, most likely thanks to collaboration with Leica. so we’re already looking forward to seeing the results of this smartphone and being able to squeeze it all the way in to discover what it’s capable of.
