In this new opinion piece, we ask you a very simple and straightforward question, Windows 10 or Windows 11, which of the two are you using? I know some of our readers use a Linux distro as their primary OS, but I also know some of you have Windows installed as a secondary OS, so you know, the comments are yours.

As usual, I start by getting wet first. I have it installed on my main PC windows 10, and the truth is that I have no intention of changing it in the short or medium term. It may happen that when it comes to the end of its life cycle or when Windows 11 matures and offers something that really interests me, I will decide to jump to the other one, but I am in no rush because, apart from specific incidents, I am very satisfied with this operating system.

The truth is, with the pace Microsoft is taking with Windows 12 and the situation Windows 11 is in, I think if I don’t update my PC it will most likely end up jumping straight to Windows 12 and that I will eventually move away from Windows 11 entirely. I know many of you will probably end up the same way.

However, I have a Windows 11 laptop that I upgraded mostly to get to Windows 11 and to so that we can create practical and informative content for you, and I also use Windows 11 in the test bench, because today’s most advanced components, such as Core Gen12 and Core Gen13, as well as Ryzen 7000X3D, are optimized to work better with the mentioned operating system.

So far I haven’t had any major problems with Windows 11 on these computers, but the truth is that I barely use the laptop and the test bench it has a very specific use and is limited to relevant analyses. I also don’t install new OS level updates until they are critical, I limit myself to new drivers, BIOS, anything that might be important for performance and stability.

If I had problems with Windows 11 with such a limited and specific use, it would be straight up “pulling my hair out”.
