“From today, the police, with the help of vehicle and foot patrols, warn and punish people who, unfortunately, disobey orders and continue to violate the dress code,” Montazeralmahdi said, Iranian news agency Mehr reported.

Thus, he criticized people who “continue to insist on breaking the rules”, and stressed that “if they do not follow the orders of the Police, legal action will be taken and presented to the judiciary.”

“Everyone, especially the smart women of the country, on whom the future of this country depends, is expected to contribute to social cohesion and the general security of society. keeping the veil holy and respecting accepted norms,” he stressed.

The head of the Iranian judiciary, Gholamhossein Mohseni-Ejei, said in early July that the country’s courts were still considering over 20,000 protest-related cases and he argued that the cases of the “repentant” were separated from those who participated in the riots in the face of the amnesty process by the country’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
