The latest Insider Preview Build for Windows 11 includes an automatic repair feature.

Preview Build 25905 is now available on the Canary Insiders Channel. It has an automatic repair feature for Windows 11, as well as a number of other minor updates.

Microsoft is launching the new Build for Insiders with a Windows Update that includes a feature that installs a new version of the operating system. In Settings you need to go to System and then to Recovery. There you can then install the update.

This new Windows update reinstalls the operating system without affecting files, apps or other settings. With this update, Microsoft wants to keep the operating system secure and up-to-date. Before this process is fully complete, other updates may need to be performed first.

Timed coordination

It is not yet known when the option will also be available outside of the Canary Insiders channel. A few days ago, Microsoft released a small activation package with the 23H2 update. Late last month there was also Windows 11 Insiders Build 23486, with a focus on security.
