Samsung took part in Display Week 2022, where not only advertisements were shown, but also working prototypes of next-generation smartphones. Ross Young, founder of Display Supply Chain Consultants and DisplaySearch research companies, also visited the exhibition and posted photos of prototype Samsung smartphones with retractable displays.

Samsung calls this solution a vertical sliding design because when the device is folded it is a compact smartphone with a classic 16:9 aspect ratio AMOLED display. If you need more screen space, the screen is enlarged to 6.7 inches with a 22:9 aspect ratio.

A larger screen may be more useful when watching a tape or article and watching movies with a cinema aspect ratio. Also, when folded, the device fits easily in your pocket and is thinner than sophisticated smartphones.
