99% of the promised US long-range M777 long-range howitzers have already been delivered to Ukraine. At a briefing on Tuesday, a Pentagon spokesperson said 89 of the 90 guns are already in Ukraine. About 65% or 120,000 of the 184,000 shells have already arrived in Ukraine.
About 370 Ukrainian soldiers have completed a training course on how to use the M777 howitzer, and another 29 have completed the maintenance course of these artillery systems, the official said.
About six dozen Ukrainian soldiers learned to use the M113 armored personnel carriers. Training continues on the management of the Phoenix Ghost unmanned system. The Pentagon also reported that the first of 11 Mi-17 helicopters planned to be delivered to the United States entered Ukraine today.
CERTIFICATE. The M-777 is a 4.2-tonne British 155mm towed howitzer from BAE Land Systems. Range – from 24 km (traditional shells) to 40 km. In normal mode, you can take two shots per minute or a maximum of seven shots. In tests of 14 shells fired from a distance of 24 km, 13 shells were hit at a distance of less than 10 m from the target. Source
