“Articles” is a new feature on Twitter that allows users to post longer texts.
Selected users have already been able to look forward to Twitter Notes, a format for publishing longer texts. Twitter has now converted this to Articles and will expand the function.
Taiwanese journalist Fausto Chou noticed the change on twitterof course, and owner Elon Musk confirmed the change. Musk stated that the feature not only offers the ability to publish longer texts, including a full-fledged book if required, but also allows users to combine different media.
Last year, Twitter introduced the feature as Remarks, exactly to post extended texts. It was then available in the United States, Great Britain, Canada and Ghana. That, too, has apparently expanded since Chou is operating out of Taiwan.
Obviously, Articles is still in the testing phase and for select users it is not yet known when (or) the feature will be available to the general public. Our editorial team has already asked a Belgian user with a blue tick who was able to confirm that she does not have access to articles yet.
Paying users can post longer videos, and longer tweets would also be an option.
