Researchers from the University of Ionia (Greece) have successfully created 10 cutting-edge biobanks based on artificial intelligence.

As reported by Ukrinform, this was reported by Ekathimerini.

Biobanks are poised to make significant contributions in a variety of fields, including deepening people’s understanding of disease, the discovery of new and complex biomarkers, the application of precision medicine to benefit patients, and revolutionary approaches to treatment.

It is noted that biobanks cover a number of main disease categories: neurological, psychiatric, infectious and oncological.

They also cover a wide range of high-volume digital data, including medical imaging data, molecular biology data, and clinical data.

Collectively, these biobanks have accumulated a significant amount of data, including more than 5 million gene expression data points, more than 50,000 image datasets, and results from more than 300 independent studies.

As reported by Ukrinform, South Korean artificial intelligence laboratory LG AI Research has presented the second generation of its large-scale multi-modal artificial intelligence (AI) model.
