At the beginning of July of this month Volkswagen Group allowed Audi start talks with Chinese automakers about using their technology to build electric vehicles (EVs). Audi is expected to switch to Chinese platforms by 2029.
Initially Audi it is planned to use the SSP platform developed by Volkswagen in the next generation of electric vehicles. But the German giant faced a number of software problems while creating its platform and decided to postpone the launch of new items until 2029.
