According to the GUR, the main goal of the “Joint Coordination Center” created by Russia to implement this agreement, reached in July last year by Moscow with the UN and Turkey, was minimize the export of Ukrainian grain through the corridor provided for in the agreement itself.

This goal, according to Ukrainian intelligence, was achieved through Blocking by Russia of the inspections stipulated by the agreement ships preparing to enter the Black Sea to load Ukrainian grain.

In one of its paragraphs, in a document signed by the Joint Coordinating Center, it states that “quality inspection of ships has also been a key element for reduce uncontrolled growth in grain exports Ukrainian ports,” the GUR said in its Telegram account.

Another excerpt from the report, intended for the Kremlin, says that measures to “reduce the number of ships calling at Ukrainian ports and significantly limit the volume of food exports from Ukraine” have led to “make it impossible for Kiev to export about 20 million tons.”

Sources in the Ukrainian port of Pivdeni, one of three where Russia has pledged to allow grain exports under the deal, have repeatedly denounced the EFE agency in recent months for sometimes a total blockade was introduced to Moscow through checks.

The Kremlin announced on Monday last week that does not intend to further extend the grain deal, which in practice means the closure of commercial shipping in the Black Sea region and from Ukrainians.
