Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Digital Transformation Mikhail Fedorov added it to the list of international technology companies that have imposed sanctions on the Russian Federation.
He announced it on Telegram, as Ukrinform reported.
“The digital blockade of the Russian Federation continues. I’m talking about the sanctions of international technology companies against Russia,” Fedorov wrote.
In particular, left the Russian market:
- war games – The company that develops and publishes video games in the free-to-play MMO market is leaving Russia and Belarus. On March 31st, it transferred its games business in Russia and Belarus to the local management of Lesta Studio, which is no longer affiliated with Wargaming.
- american licensing company for foreign doctors ECFMG It denies Russians access to certificates. ECFMG blocked the personal accounts of Russians who had paid for the services and started the US residency certification process.
- Japanese company FANUC It has suspended all supplies to Russia and Belarus and will donate 1m euros to humanitarian aid.
- Hexagon Suspends the export of all hardware and software licenses to Russia. Hexagon has donated 500,000 Euros for humanitarian support and asylum for refugees in Ukraine.
- Supplier of industrial automation and information products from the USA – Rockwell Automation – Suspended activities in Russia and the Republic of Belarus. The company also refused to sell its software and lands in those countries.
- Company sales team – the developer of the same CRM systems – suspended operations in Russia. In the company’s statement, it is stated that it does not have a direct business in the Russian market and that the cut off relations with Russian users is due to dealers.
Fedorov added that Russian scientists may lose access to 97% of scientific information. After all, access to the largest collections of full-text articles from Elsevier, Springer / Nature, IOP Publishers and Web of Science and Scopus abstracts is scheduled to be discontinued in Russia soon.
