Central Bank (BC) real-time payment system known as pix, set another impressive single-day transaction record. Last Friday (4th), Brazil recorded a total of 142.4 million transactions carried out using this method of instant transfers.

This new record surpassed the last peak reached, which occurred less than a month ago. On July 7, Pix hit a peak volume of 134.8 million transactions in 24 hours. Interestingly, during this period, the system exceeded its own maximum mark for two days in a row, since the day before it also broke the record with 129.4 million transactions.
