GTA 6 is probably the most anticipated game of the moment. This new installment of the famous Rockstar franchise will be published by Take-Two and as many of our regular readers will remember, its release was scheduled for mid 2024, the date to which the financial results of said publisher indirectly pointed.

The fact is, Take-Two’s new earnings estimate with declining revenue forecasts for fiscal 2024 set off all the alarms. It is simple logic if the company expects sales to decline during this period it’s because there won’t be any big release to raise them, and therefore we can forget about GTA 6 in this timeframe.

All of which inevitably leads us to once again ask ourselves the question of when GTA 6 will arrive. a “tipping point” culminating in record operating performance during the given year and the following ones. Reading between the lines, it is clear that there will be an important start that year that will improve his results until he sets a new record, and that will arrive at the latest. in March 2025.

The only game that Take-Two is waiting to publish, and that would be it able to achieve something so important is GTA 6, So I think the matter is quite clear. However, we have to take into account that we still do not have an official and directly confirmed date, so everything could change eventually. We already know that Rockstar is taking the development of its most important games in stride and that it is not in a hurry, because GTA V and Red Dead Redemption 2 are still authentic money-making machines.

It is rumored that GTA 6 could be an exclusive game for the current generation of consolesand that it will only arrive on Xbox Series XS, PS5, and PC (and may eventually arrive on Nintendo Switch 2 as well). This would be ideal as it would represent a significant leap in technical level compared to GTA V, although for Rockstar it would mean giving up a significant market share that the previous generation consoles still hold.

We’ll see what all of this is, but don’t forget that there’s also the possibility that GTA 6 will end up being a cross-generational game and that it’ll make its way to PS4 and Xbox One as well. If that happens It would be a golden conclusion to the longest-lived console generation the whole story.
