They’ve been on the road for a while and now they’re starting to arrive: group scheduled callsA new example of how WhatsApp wants to eat the land of Zoom, the app added the option to share the screen on calls a few days ago.

Last year, WhatsApp added search links where someone can join a call later, though not immediately. We now have a groups-centered evolution of the same idea: scheduled calls.

Forget about using the calendar app. schedule a call or video call: You have everything you need on WhatsApp, as long as all those invited to the call in question are in the same group.

The app is now enabling scheduled calls for some WhatsApp beta users and submenu when pressing call or video call button.

You can put it when scheduling a call name, date and timehelps identify the reason for the call, and WhatsApp takes care of notifying group members before they start.

Some 15 minutes before call, group members receive a notification as well as when it starts and when it ends. Only group participants can participate in such calls.

As the search continues, we will see a big message in chat invites us to join, so the process is pretty quick and easy without having to use different services or apps: everything stays at home, as Zuckerberg intended.

Scheduled calls are now reaching some users. WhatsApp has not officially announced it yet.something that could happen in the coming weeks.
