As reported by Ukrinform, the company’s blog reports this.
“For years, our users have easily translated emails in Gmail into over 100 languages. Starting today, we’re excited to announce that native translation has been integrated into Gmail for mobile, allowing you to easily communicate in multiple languages.”
If the message content language is different from the Gmail display language in the user’s account settings, a translation pop-up message is displayed. You can also choose to have Gmail always translate certain languages or never.
To translate a message on a mobile device, click “Translate” at the top of the email and select your desired language.
You can also turn this setting off by accepting the “Redial” prompt that appears when the user closes the popup, or by choosing to do so in the translation settings menu.
If the user refused to translate or the system did not detect any other language, you can manually translate the message using the three-dot menu.
