A few weeks after its rebranding, American billionaire Elon Musk will auction a blue bird-shaped sign and other company memorabilia from his Twitter building.
This was reported by the BBC, Ukrinform reports.
Among the 584 pieces presented are furniture, a DJ booth, various musical instruments, huge bird cages and two oil paintings with photos that went viral on Twitter. The first photo is a star selfie of Ellen DeGeneres at the Oscars in 2014, and the second is a photo of former US President Barack Obama, who tweeted when he was re-elected in November 2012. At the time, the tweet was the most popular tweet on the platform.
One of the parties, a bird sign, still hangs on the wall of the company’s 10th Street headquarters in San Francisco.
“The bird is still mounted on the side of the building. The buyer is responsible for hiring a licensed company with the appropriate permits,” he says.
Bidding starts at $25 for each lot, according to auction house Heritage Global Partners. The bidding will start on September 12 and will end two days later.
As reported by Ukrinform, at the end of July, Twitter’s new CEO, Linda Yaccarino, presented the company’s new logo depicting a capital X.
Musk attributed the recent change in the company’s logo to his desire to turn it into a financial center.
