Gmail email client from Googleon Tuesday (8) the implementation of the long-awaited feature began: translation of received letters in languages other than yours.
The community has been waiting for the novelty for a long time and was already available in Gmail for desktop browsers a few years ago. Translation is carried out by a service provided by the company itself, with Google translatorand saves time for those who previously needed to paste the content of a message into a website in order to then read the messages in Portuguese.
Check below how email translation works on mobile devices:
Translation, however, is not automatic: as shown in the animated GIF above, you need to select the translate button above the email content and select the desired language.
Then you can also set a shortcut so that all emails in that language are already converted without having to do it manually.

According to Google, translation is available for over 100 languages. The resource will be released gradually in Gmail app for Android (since last Tuesday, August 8) and also in iOS (as of August 21, 2023) and not all users will receive the news at the same time. Anyone with a personal or professional company account is eligible to use this feature.
Changes in Gmail
In addition to the famous arrival of the translate button, Gmail has received other news: Google has scaled up tests for the “Help me write” option, which uses artificial intelligence (AI) to assist the user in composing text, and started adding blue verified icons to email addresses to reduce phishing attacks.
If you haven’t used your Google account for a while, make sure it won’t be deleted in the next company cleanup, which will remove profiles that are inactive or don’t have access to the company’s services after two years.
