Just a few years ago, we talked about the first rumors that Apple might be preparing to adopt a USB-C connector on its next iPhone in the coming year. The hypothesis, which is now becoming more relevant after Bloomberg assured the company already does USB-C adapter expansion testing already present on his MacBook and iPad in the rest of its ecosystem.

Bloomberg sources say the tested adapter can “enable future iphone work with accessories designed for the current Lightning connector»In addition to the jump to the USB-C connector. This could mean a Lightning to USB-C adapter for things like credit card scanners or flash drives that plug into existing iPhones. Some changes that would again indicate next year at the earliest.
