Service PayPal Holdings Inc. announced the appointment of Alex Criss as the company’s new CEO.

PayPal says Chris, who runs Intuit QuickBooks, will begin his new role on September 27.
He will replace Dan Shulman, who will remain on the company’s board of directors until the company’s next annual shareholders meeting in May.
Kriss is said to be leading the company, once “darling during the COVID pandemic” as activity on the company’s platforms increases as consumers stay at home and shop online. But the company is currently struggling with slowing growth and a sharp decline in shares.
In 2021, Chris led Intuit’s acquisition of email marketing company Mailchimp for $12 billion. The move expands Intuit’s offerings to companies looking for ways to reach and serve their customers online.
As reported by Ukrinform, PayPal announced that its 65-year-old CEO, Dan Shulman, will retire and leave his position at the end of 2023.
