Yesterday, Xiaomi’s CEO and founder, Lei Jun, held a conference specifically where the robot dog CyberDog 2 was introduced.
The original CyberDog was introduced two years ago. This year the design has been completely redesigned. CyberDog 2 has a mouth and small ears. CyberDog 2 is smaller than the previous generation: 36.7 cm in height and 8.9 kg in weight.
Xiaomi’s idea was to develop a more compact and cute model. At the same time, 12 servo motors were placed in a small case. Xiaomi claims that it has improved the mobility of its robot with its CyberGear micro drivers.
Now the dog can do several somersaults in succession, stand up in case of a fall and even ride a skateboard. 19 sensors are responsible for vision, hearing and touch (the dog responds to a caress).
Its price is 1800 dollars. The robot will be available in black, blue and gold colors.
