LG Electronics announced on Tuesday, August 15, that the StanbyMe Go, a portable LED touchscreen display, is available to pre-order for $1,000 and will begin shipping later this month.
Pending Go It is a multimedia center packed in a suitcase that you can take with you. The 27-inch 1080p LED display is attached to a hinge, so you can lift the screen, set it to an angle, flip it to portrait mode, and then fold it back.
According to LG, the 20-watt speaker adapts to screen rotation and provides surround sound with Dolby Atmos support. Dolby Vision extended dynamic range is also supported. There is a built-in battery inside the case. As for battery life, it’s about three hours.
The display has an HDMI input so you can connect a game console. It can also display content from Apple devices via AirPlay. The built-in app store gives you access to games and streaming apps like Netflix, Disney Plus, Amazon Prime Video, and Max. Those who order by August 27 will receive a $200 XBoom 360 Bluetooth speaker.
