The truth is, users today rely heavily on recommendations from TikTok, which sends us viral videos with equally viral followings. If a song becomes popular on this social network, it will instantly “blow up” on streaming services. This phenomenon has become so popular that on Spotify you can find entire playlists that collect popular music, often with a name like “Songs from TikTok”, and by the way, TikTok itself has announced its own music streaming service.

Tape “Samples” are personalized to your interests, so when you open them, the app tries to offer you a wide selection of music you might like.. If you find something you like, you can click a separate button to play the song in full, watch the entire video, add it to the playlist, or even make a short movie using it as your soundtrack.
