Someone who can’t take criticism
New York University professor and podcast host Scott Galloway has expressed anger at being banned from tweeting. Two days after he allegedly turned down an invitation to meet with Elon Musk, he left his post at Meta’s rival social network Threads, which he said was banned from X.
Our mutual friend contacted me and said that he felt Elon was “unjustly attacked” by me and wanted to meet. I refused. 2 days later I was blocked on “X”, Galloway added that the limitation period is 17 days.
The professor has been systematically critical of Musk since he took over Twitter, telling the Huffington Post last year that the billionaire “completely lacks sophistication” when it comes to his leadership on Twitter. “I think this guy shows a bit of God complex”, Galloway added. In another Threads post on Monday, he said he would have supported Musk had it not been for his controversial words. “He would be a legend if Elon didn’t start tweeting”.
Room Commented on the investigation Reuters criticized the range of Tesla cars and Musk’s ambition to turn Twitter into an app for everything. “Tesla has deliberately given drivers exaggerated range estimates and put many in a difficult position. However, you have to rely entirely on the X., — wrote Galloway. In response, Musk described the professor as an “unbearable moron” and said the best way to invest is to do the opposite of what he suggests.
Self-proclaimed “absolutist of free speech,” Musk has a history of using his position despicably and unfairly, as well as punishing anyone who dares to criticize him. Recently, he seems to have slowed down links to news outlets that dare to post negative opinions about him and his competitors on Twitter. The New York Times and Reuters were hit, showing a slowdown of about 10 seconds when opening links via Twitter. Facebook, Threads, and Bluesky were also affected.
Meanwhile, Scott Galloway decided to keep up with Musk and imitate him. The professor resorted to a joke and invited the head of the company to the fight – Musk had done the same with Mark Zuckerberg before, but is now doing his best to avoid the cage fight. Users in the comments are already betting on Galloway’s victory, given his much better physical form.
Surprisingly, Musk is keeping his mouth shut this time. He still hasn’t responded to allegations that he has banned Galloway from Twitter and hasn’t confirmed whether he’s actually trying to meet her.
