Samsung continues to work on the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+, two high-end smartphones that will arrive in first quarter of the year which is coming and which we already know quite well thanks to the large number of leaks and rumors that have occurred in recent months. Not so long ago, we decided to group together the most relevant information in an article that generally summarizes everything we know about the Galaxy S24 so far.
A new leak published by one of the most reliable sources within the Samsung universe ensures that the South Korean giant is preparing a major design change, although in principle this will only affect the standard Galaxy S24 and the plus model. The ultra model will remain unchanged, which means that it will practically be a carbon copy of the current model.
This very important design-level change will focus on the aluminum frame that both Samsung smartphones will use. As many of our readers will know, the Galaxy S23 has an aluminum frame with a slightly curved surface, and according to this new leak, the Galaxy S24 and its plus version will exchange for a frame with a completely straight adjustment.
If you raised your eyebrows because you don’t understand, don’t worry, it’s very simple. Think back to the bezel that Apple used on the iPhone 11 and the curved finish of its metal frame that was similar to what we find on the Galaxy S23 and earlier, and now think in the change that occurred with the arrival of the iPhone 12which changed said bezel to a flat one similar to the one used on the iPhone 4/4s and iPhone 5/5s.
Well, according to this information from Samsung will go the same way and will introduce a flat frame in its new flagship terminals with the sole exception of the Galaxy S24 Ultra, which will continue to have a curved surface. Personally, I think it’s a success because it fits better with the flat display of both terminals and I think it will help Samsung breathe life into its famous smartphone line, while also allowing a better distinction between the standard and plus models and the ultra.
I remind you that according to the latest rumors of Samsung it will use Snapdragon 8 Gen3 SoC and Exynos 2400 in Galaxy S24and that its availability will depend on each specific country. The version with the Exynos 2400 SoC should arrive in Europe, and the version with the new Qualcomm chip will be available in the United States and other important markets.
