Elon Musk, owner of X (formerly Twitter), said that the social network will no longer have a function that allows blocking other users.

Musk replied to a social network user’s question, “The blocking feature will be removed, except for private messages.”
He added that it is “pointless” to block others.
Instead, Musk presented X users can use the “mute” function.
Variety notes that the social network’s “mute” button removes one account’s posts from users’ timelines without unsubscribing or blocking an account, while blocking one account prevents another account from viewing your public posts on X.
If you “mute” an account on X, it can still respond to your public posts.
As reported by Ukrinform, the social network of Elon Musk X (former Twitter) has particularly slowed down the download speed when switching to other sites using links from posts on the platform.
