A few days ago I saw that The Walking Dead Destinies was in development, but when I found out that GameMill was taking over the development, I was so disappointed that my expectations were completely blown. I wish I was wrong, but today, after seeing the teaser trailer, My worst fears were confirmed.

The Walking Dead Destinies is a game that in several aspects it shows the huge potential this franchise hasand he’s doing so through a setup that’s really meticulous, judging by what we see in the video, as well as the sheer number of zombies it looks like he’ll be able to put on screen.

Another interesting point of this game is that it will be possible to rewrite the history of the series, so we can do unthinkable things like have Shane kill Rick and he becomes the leader of the group. However, it also reflects huge technical and graphical flaws that ultimately make this title an insult to fans of The Walking Dead franchise, myself included.

The video speaks for itself. Look at the terrible quality of character modeling, animations and facial expressions.. From a technical point of view, it’s a real disaster and the reactions of the fans didn’t take long. We have a general rejection because although on a conceptual level the game has potential, the production is so bad that it looks like a PS2 game to some (actually it would be more on a PS3 level) and others feel it shouldn’t. come directly to the market in this state.

I know that a game is not only defined by its graphics, but there is always a minimum level that must be metand in this case, obviously The Walking Dead Destinies It won’t get to that level. It’s really a shame, because with excellent technical processing, this game could become a real treat for fans of this franchise. I don’t think GameMill cares about investing more resources to improve the technical invoice of the game, so in the end what we see in the video, we end up getting.

The Walking Dead Destinies will be available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch and PC for a price of 49.99 euros. I’m not going to buy, but I’m still considering giving it a try if the price drops at some point and it’s available at a discount of no more than five euros.
