Our Readers Speak: Would GeForce RTX 4030 and Radeon RX 7300 Make Sense?

Low-end graphics cards are losing a lot of interest and this makes us wonder if we will ever see GeForce RTX 4030 and Radeon RX 7300. Looking at the previous generation, we realize that NVIDIA went straight from this rangebecause it didn’t launch the GeForce RTX 3030, while AMD did the opposite and launched two low-end models, Radeon RX 6400 and Radeon RX 6300.

It doesn’t mean that AMD is repeating its strategy, and the truth is that given the state of the graphics sector today and the large amount of inventory still piling up for previous generation graphics cards, for NVIDIA and AMD it wouldn’t make sense run GeForce RTX 4030 and Radeon RX 7300, from would complicate inventory clearance.

From the user’s point of view, I think that both graphical solutions could be an interesting option if they hit the market at the right priceand especially if they maintain an acceptable level of performance, which was not always the case with this type of graphics card, because in most cases they ended up offering a very poor price-performance ratio.

RX6400

I’ll give you an example so you can easily understand what I mean, a GeForce RTX 4030 with 4 GB of graphics memory, a 64-bit bus and DLSS 3 support able to offer performance similar to GeForce GTX 1650 Super It could be an excellent choice for users on a very tight budget who also need a low-power graphics card that doesn’t require an additional power connector.

The same goes for the Radeon RX 7300 that it was able to offer performance similar to the Radeon RX 6500 XT and had very low consumption and an approximate price of 100 euros, although in this case the absence of a competitive DLSS 3 equivalent would be a problem. I’ve commented on this before and after trying this technology so many times and with so many graphics cards, I can say with absolute certainty that it makes a big difference and that it’s really worth it.

Now it’s your turn, do you think that NVIDIA and AMD should continue to bet on low-end graphics cards or that they are meaningless and should be written into history once and for all? Read in the comments.
