VMware is incorporating some improvements into its Tanzu platform. AI plays an important role, but also makes it easier to run applications according to the right needs.

At the VMware Explore in Las Vegas, VMware will present several innovations in its portfolio. The cloud offering is very popular, but VMware also has something new for Tanzu. Tanzu is VMware’s Kubernetes container platform.

• The main novelty is that Tanzu Application Engine. This allows organizations to tie security, availability, and scalability requirements to containerized applications. This then facilitates the correct execution of these applications. The engine is available in beta.
• The Tanzu Intelligence Services will be expanded to include the intelligent assistant. This is a chatbot that works with generative AI. The AI ​​bot is designed to help solve problems easily.
• Then there is dance insights. Here, too, AI is central. Insights uses AI and machine learning to examine and understand Kubernetes environments that span AWS and Microsoft Azure. This allows administrators to identify and fix problems faster.

Other innovations

There are also some minor improvements. For example, there will be a new portal with a better experience for developers, with support for .Net, Spring Framework 6 and Spring Boot 3. The lifecycle management system now also includes the Azure Kubernetes Service.
